division street

I love working at division. I love my customers, and the people that i see everyday, and the people that i only see once. The pregnant woman is so friendly and outgoing and hilarious. The little old lady who was so concerned about me using the restroom was so genuinely nice, and great. And then there was the little old lady yesterday whose stray whites were popping out of her shiny brown wig. The japanese kids are my favorite. I see them most often with their mom and a tiny dog, and today with a new toothless child. I've seen them once with their dad, and once with an older white woman (?). I see the couple who live on 57th often, sometimes a few times a day. She has long wavy hair and pasty skin and he always looks twice when he walks by alone. There's also the nice woman from Dairy Queen who I always say hi to, and the 95 year old ex-boxer (whose name I can't remember) who patrols the streets and "makes sure no one bothers" us. He told me the other day that he starts at 4am and walks about 100 miles a day, from about 65th all the way to the bridge. He made me feel his bicep.
