first

In case something happens between now and the next time I do this and this is all that's left, know that all of the following happened:

I quit my job at American Apparel and we saved and we packed and we left Whittier, and LA, and California, and Nicholas drove up the coast until we got to Portland, and we ate smoked salmon and drank a lot. Now we live in a beautiful home and eat well even though we're poor. At the moment I'm the only one working (at a farm stand) but Nicholas will be working the harvest in 2 months. I'm car-less; he got rid of the silver volvo and his parents bought him an '08 Forester. We rarely use it. I have never driven it; I haven't driven since May. One day we woke up and decided to go to Disneyland, and we did, and it was fun. Another day we decided to move, to leave, and we did, and it's so far been fun. We cook a lot, and I'm starting to write again, and we finally have a queen size bed. The sun is still shining and we go on walks and bike rides and play bocce at Laurelhurst Park (which is amazing) and in the rose gardens by our house. We both want dogs more than ever and are secretly (I think) each counting the days until getting one (each) becomes a possibility. Nicholas wants a Weimeraner (and so do I) but I'll take anything. I'm reading a lot, again, and we don't have the internet, and we're still vegetarians (pescatarians). We're good, we're happy, and we're challenging ourselves.
